Boy Scouts of America
In 1907, Robert Stephenson Smythe Baden-Powell, an English army officer, invited a group of boys to Brownsea Island off the coast of England to attend the world's first boy Scout camp. Here he taught basic outdoor skills. Its success led him to write a book called Scouting for Boys. Thousands of boys read it and wanted to join the new organization. Scouting spread like wildfire throughout Europe and before long, around the World.
The Scouting movement came to America because an English boy led a lost American businessman through the foggy streets of London, and expected no reward in return. This so impressed him that on February 8, 1910, William D. Boyce and a group of businessmen, educators, and political leaders founded the Boy Scouts of America.
Troop 507 was originally chartered on back in 1910, and is sponsored by St. Mark's Catholic Church. See the History of the troop in the forums section. Our troop is inter-denominational, welcoming boys from every faith, race, and background. We participate in weekly meetings and monthly outdoor activities which have included camping, hiking, skiing, canoeing, biking, and community service projects.
Becoming a Member of Troop 507
Whether you are an adult or a young boy, the world of Scouting takes you hiking along trails, canoeing across great bodies of water, camping outdoors, observing wildlife and natural habitats. Scouting teaches you meaningful ways to help your family, community, nation and the world. Leadership positions teach you responsibility and to help other people at all times. All these experiences will help you mature into a knowledgeable and confident adult.
If you are a boy, eleven to seventeen years old and live in or around Kenosha, we invite you to come and visit Troop 507. If you are a Webelo Scout, we invite you to visit our troop and consider joining us when you crossover.

The times on the 28th are from 6AM to 6PM - for a $500 gift card, and then on Sat from 9AM to 6PM for a $300 gift card. I haven't heard bac...
